Full-Time Float Infusion Nurse (RN) - Charlottesville / Harrisonburg, VA
About The Position
Local Infusion is seeking an Infusion Nurse to provide direct patient care at their centers in Charlottesville & Harrisonburg, VA. This role focuses on delivering the highest level of care in infusion therapy, with an emphasis on patient-centered care and leveraging technology. The ideal candidate will have experience working autonomously, starting IVs, and working with biologic drugs. This position offers predictable hours, autonomy, and a manageable workload with a consistent 3:1 patient to clinician ratio. The schedule involves a rotating split between the two sites, with potential for more time at one location depending on patient volume and needs.
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in Virginia, and open to getting licensure in another state
- Experience in outpatient infusion therapy, working in a clinical setting, seeing multiple patients at one time
- Comfortable working autonomously, inserting 5+ peripheral IVs per shift
- Current BLS CPR certification
- Excellent IV skills (infusion therapy experience a plus)
- Experience and strong familiarity utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Ability to work 1 to 2 Saturday's a month
Nice To Haves
- ACLS & PALS Certification
- Experience working with biologic drugs
Responsibilities
- Assess and document the health status of the patient
- Deliver infusions or injections in accordance with prescribed protocols and organization guidelines
- Assist in maintaining medical inventory and supplies
- Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers, such as order clarification, patient status, and plan of care
- Provide onsite supervision for all patients
