About The Position

Cardinal Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their team. The role focuses on delivering safe and efficient quality nursing care, examining patients, and administering prescribed medications to aid healing and comfort. This position requires a licensed RN who collaborates closely with physicians and other healthcare providers, including those caring for cancer patients. The nurse will establish patient care requirements, provide emotional and psychological support, promote patient independence through education, and ensure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include resolving patient issues, maintaining a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols, documenting patient care, maintaining continuity among nursing teams, protecting patient confidentiality, ensuring equipment functionality, managing nursing supplies, and staying updated on professional knowledge. The role also involves maintaining cooperative relationships with healthcare teams.

Requirements

Active RN license in the state of Florida, in good standing
BLS certification
Associate’s Degree of Science in related field
2-4 years of experience, preferred

Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, safe medication administration, mixing, and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
Maintains continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Maintains nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Updates and maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Maintains a respectful cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods.
