About The Position

Sage Infusion is seeking a patient-focused Infusion Nurse Practitioner to join its infusion care team. In a retail infusion center managed exclusively by nurse practitioners, this role is responsible for infusion medical treatment, response management, and post-treatment care for patients following a physician order. The Infusion Nurse Practitioner administers and monitors treatment at the center and provides education about treatment regimens, condition management, and potential side effects as appropriate. The role works closely with a multidisciplinary team and is a full-time float position in The Villages, Florida.

Requirements

Licensed to practice as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in Florida.
IV experience is mandatory.
BLS certification is required.
Comply with continuing and mandatory education requirements.
Practice nursing within the scope of the Florida Nurse Practice Act.
Subject to license verification, criminal background check, and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

ACLS certification is preferred.
Emergency room experience is highly preferred.
Ability to speak Spanish is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Initiate and implement nursing plans of treatment, evaluate patient progress toward goals, and participate in direct patient care, including performing treatments, administering medications, and educating patients and caregivers.
Modify treatment plans in response to changes in patient status or physician orders to achieve established or revised care goals.
Assess patient needs and physical status at each visit using health data and patient interviews; reassess needs based on physical findings, response to therapy, and supplemental physician orders.
Clarify physician orders for treatment-plan revisions, promptly inform physicians of significant changes in patient condition, and provide written summaries as required.
Teach patients and families using a safe, effective, patient-centered approach to support independence with prescribed therapy and care needs.
Communicate effectively and promptly with the clinical team, medical providers, patients, and caregivers to support continuity of care.
Complete clinical documentation in real time during visits and sign off on treatment within established timelines.
Comply with internal policies, professional standards, applicable regulations and guidelines, and accreditation standards.
Respond promptly and appropriately to patient needs and initiate emergency procedures when necessary.
Maintain ethical and professional conduct, protect confidential patient and company information, and comply with HIPAA.
Communicate knowledgeably about Sage Infusion’s scope of services.
Complete required training, in-services, and continuing education to maintain competency and professional licensure.
Participate in multidisciplinary team conferences and mentor nurses during orientation and supervisory activities as assigned.
Provide oversight and coordination of paraprofessionals.
Perform other related duties as directed by a supervisor.
