About The Position
Willamette Valley Cancer Institute and Research Center is looking to add a Medical Assistant to join our interdisciplinary oncology care teams across multiple locations and specialties. As a vital member of our clinical teams, Medical Assistants play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in Medical Oncology, Gynecologic Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Infusion.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current BCLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- 1–3 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
- NCMA certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Escort patients to and from exam rooms and treatment areas.
- Collect and document patient data including vital signs and medication updates.
- Assist physicians and clinical staff with exams, procedures, and treatments.
- Administer subcutaneous and intramuscular injections as delegated.
- Coordinate orders for imaging, labs, referrals, and outside records.
- Prepare and clean exam rooms and maintain inventory.
- Provide patient communication, scheduling support, and documentation assistance.
- Other duties as assigned.
