About The Position

This role oversees the safe selection, dosing, administration, and dispensing of infusion therapies, with a focus on specialty biologics, oncology treatments, and biosimilars. The specialist will develop, standardize, and enforce clinical infusion protocols, lead therapeutic interchange and patient safety initiatives, and partner with operational teams to enhance workflows, optimize prior authorizations, and reduce order-to-infusion turnaround times. Additionally, the role involves conducting clinical quality audits, utilizing safety, billing, and patient experience data for continuous improvement, and providing drug education and clinical guidance to healthcare staff and patients. The position also supports interdisciplinary care coordination and contributes to pharmacy education and coverage needs.

Requirements

  • Pharmacist obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Must be willing to initiate the process to obtain one or more Pharmacist licenses within 90 days of hire/transfer for the following states: AL, AR, IA, ID, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MS, NE, OK, OR, TN, TX, VA & WV.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
  • Active pharmacist license in any of the 50 US states.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical pharmacy experience in an ambulatory infusion center, acute care oncology suite, or specialty home infusion environment required.
  • Must demonstrate experience participating in cross-functional clinical quality or process improvement initiatives.
