About The Position

Coverdale Clinics is seeking a registered nurse to join their dynamic team in Kingston, ON. This full-time, permanent position involves 32 hours per week and focuses on patient-centered care with a maximum patient-to-nurse ratio of 3:1. The role offers regular treatment intervals, fostering strong patient relationships and an exceptional work-life balance compared to traditional hospital settings. The nurse will collaborate with managers, benefit from ongoing education support, and elevate their career while delivering outstanding care.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current registration in good standing with the provincial licensing body.
  • At least 3 years of recent acute care experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Training and experience in the preparation and administration of medications via all routes.
  • Excellent intravenous skills.
  • Able to read and interpret technical instructions related to client care.
  • Strong observational skills to visually and auditorily assess clients.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in French is required for positions based in Quebec to perform day-to-day duties.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in ICU and/or ER will be considered an asset.
  • Training and experience with CVADs.
  • Background in biologics/infusions.
  • Ability to think outside the box when addressing patient care challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and administer specialized IV and Injection therapies with confidence and professionalism.
  • Receive and review physician's orders.
  • Continuously seek new methods to enhance patient assessments and care techniques.
  • Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor client conditions.
  • Observe, document, and respond to changes in health status according to Coverdale Infusion Clinics Inc. standards.
  • Provide direction, support, and delegation to Licensed/Registered Practical Nurses.
  • Foster a collaborative environment through effective communication and shared patient care goals.
  • Engage in ongoing education and skill development.
