About The Position

MAG Aerospace is staffing for a Senior Infrastructure Test Engineer to support United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Joint Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (AISR) and its mission partners in supporting combat forces ability to access immediate access to battlefield information. This position serves as a senior technical expert in designing, implementing, and optimizing hardware-centric Test and Evaluation (T&E) strategies for developmental prototype C2ISR systems across avionics, airborne, shipboard, and land-based platforms. The position leads the end-to-end technical validation process for complex prototype hardware, including architectural analysis, physical design validation, and rigorous operational requirements verification. This position is located at Pope Army Airfield, Fort Bragg, NC Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support includes, but is not limited to: Serves as a lead technical expert in designing, implementing, and optimizing hardware-centric T&E strategies for developmental prototype C2ISR systems across all platforms. Leads the end-to-end technical validation process for complex prototype hardware, including architectural analysis, physical design validation, and rigorous operational requirements verification across avionics, shipboard, and land-based environments. Architects and oversees the creation of advanced hardware testing frameworks, integrating hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, model-based testing, and automated system validation tools for physical components. Drives detailed evaluations of hardware constraints, environmental tolerances, and physical performance capabilities across diverse technological environments to ensure mission readiness and compliance with C2ISR standards. Provides expert hardware T&E insights that drive continuous technological optimization and enhance mission readiness across the C2ISR enterprise by identifying systemic hardware issues and advocating for design improvements. Mentors junior and journeyman engineers on advanced hardware testing techniques, including performance, reliability, maintainability, safety (RAMS) testing, and environmental qualification of C2ISR prototypes .
