About The Position

Varen, an SAIC company is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Systems Engineer to join their team. This position is located in Suitland, MD and requires an active TS/SCI with polygraph to be considered. The role involves supporting and overseeing all infrastructure team operations and maintenance tasks for deployed operational solutions (Citrix, Microsoft, NetApp, VMware), troubleshooting and resolving issues including root cause analysis, and maintaining documentation for infrastructure, systems, subsystems, and components. The engineer will also work with the IT Architecture and Engineering team to research, analyze, and assess new technologies for infrastructure modernization and propose new solutions to the government with proof of concept for consideration by the Configuration Control Board.

Requirements

• Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience.
• Work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph.
