About The Position

The Infrastructure Specialist analyzes, recommends, and selects the organization’s Information Technology (IT) solutions that meet industry standards; identifies areas of improvement by continuously assessing current IT processes, technology, and vendors; and supports the organization’s governance, risk management, and compliance efforts.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of large network systems, cyber security solutions, and desktop support
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, can effectively interact with personnel at all levels of the organization
  • Personable and customer service oriented
  • Excellent time and project management skills, able to prioritize workload
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 platform and Azure

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in oil and gas service industry preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, recommend, and selects the organization’s IT solutions that meet industry standards
  • Support the organization’s technology strategy by delivering optimal service to technology end users
  • Identify areas of improvement by continuously assessing current IT processes, technology, and vendors
  • Provide second tier support for the IT help desk
  • Coordinate the maintenance of essential IT operations (i.e., operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware)
  • Collaborate with the Facilities team to implement IT solutions (i.e., TV cabling)
  • Leverage technology to support both current and future infrastructure needs
  • Maintain IT policies and SOPs
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software
  • Stay current on new technology features or other competitive solutions to meet the organization’s network needs
  • Support the organization’s governance, risk management, and compliance efforts (i.e., SOX, audits, cybersecurity)
  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies by attending all required HSE training sessions, safety meetings, and always utilize proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Other duties as assigned
