About The Position

This position delivers the IT solutions and services to staff and partners by communicating effectively (verbal, chat, in person), recommending solutions, providing solutions, and providing support including "how to" training. This technical focus of the role includes the build, maintenance, and support of all Red River Mutual computing assets, including personal computing, enterprise computing, applications (related to personal / enterprise computing). This role works with partners and Senior System Administrators on structured problems required to support business operations.

Requirements

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science
  • 3+ years of IT personal computing or enterprise computing experience
  • Experience with deployment and management of Microsoft desktop and server operating systems including direct experience with Intune.
  • Knowledge of advanced computer hardware, including server, network, storage, security, and end point computing
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening and questioning skills
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • A satisfactory background check
  • If applicable, providing a satisfactory driver’s abstract

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Cloud
  • Technical Expertise in one or more areas (ex. Systems, Network, Security, Personal computing software)
  • Certifications in CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Modern Workplace

Responsibilities

  • Building, administering, maintaining, supporting, and troubleshooting personal computers, tablets, mobile phones, printers, Wi-Fi devices, audio visual equipment, and software which runs on or is used to support this equipment
  • Administering, supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting server, storage, network, identity and access, and security infrastructure on site and in the cloud
  • Field incoming requests to the Service Desk portal and ensuring courteous, timely and effective resolution of end user issues.
  • Communicates effectively with staff and partners provide IT solutions and services, this includes understanding needs, recommending solutions, providing "how to use" training
  • Works with staff and partners to investigate and resolve issues, escalating to Senior System Administrators and managed service partners as required
