About The Position

This is a contract position for an Infrastructure Project Manager based in Charlotte, NC. The role involves project coordination for technology implementations, upgrades, conversions, and recovery, utilizing Enterprise Change tools and guidelines. The Project Manager will manage and coordinate resources across various lines of business, balancing soft skills, technical requirements, scheduling, and milestone delivery. Key responsibilities include defining and evaluating problems, planning effective solutions, proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues to keep projects on schedule, and succinctly presenting progress and issues with potential solutions. The role requires understanding and managing stakeholder expectations, identifying changing priorities, and effectively reallocating resources to maintain project momentum, especially when resources are competing with other concurrent projects. The position requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. The role is for W2 employment only and is a hybrid position, requiring 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of Cisco voice and/or Telepresence technologies.
  • Adaptive learning capability to utilize new systems and/or processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Productivity Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook).
  • Experience managing M365 related projects (MS TEAMS, OneDrive, Copilot, Exchange etc.).
  • Experience supporting multiple applications (team supports roughly 70 applications).
  • Experience with Remedy or ServiceNow.
  • Experience working in a large company in a technology role.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate technology implementations, upgrades, conversions, and recovery using Enterprise Change tools and guidelines.
  • Manage and coordinate resources within and across various lines of business, with matrix management responsibility.
  • Balance soft skills, technical requirements, scheduling, and milestone delivery of technical solutions.
  • Define and evaluate problems and plan effective solutions.
  • Identify possible issues before they become an issue and successfully mitigate them to keep the project and personnel on schedule.
  • Succinctly present progress and issues, providing possible solutions and accepting constructive criticism.
  • Understand stakeholder expectations and objectives.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with management, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Identify changing priorities within the project and move resources to ensure the most effective use of resources, especially when they are competing for time with other concurrent projects.
  • Work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative manner.
  • Perform Change Management duties and ad hoc changes, primarily template and project-based.
