About The Position

The Infrastructure Platform Services Manager leads the team responsible for the design, implementation, operation and evolution of the platform services such as Active Directory, Backups, VDIs, and Databases. This role provides strategic direction and operational oversight for those services, leads the Platform Services Engineers and collaborates with other IT leaders to align platform capabilities to business objectives. This role is responsible for the health and resiliency of platform infrastructure, drives continuous improvement, and represents the organization in vendor and partner engagements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in enterprise platform services including AD, backup, VDI and database environments, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
• Track record of leading engineering teams and driving strategy across multiple technology domains.
• Strong breadth of technical knowledge across identity, backup, VDI and database systems and their operational contexts.
• Experience with IT service management and ITIL framework; proficiency in capacity planning, incident/problem/organizational change.
• Demonstrable ability to handle vendor and partner relationships for critically important infrastructure.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and partner engagement skills; ability to influence and align diverse audiences.
• Skills for critical thinking, planning and translating business objectives into technology investments.
• Demonstrated financial skill: budgeting, cost modeling and justification of technology spend.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop team members to grow strong internal talent, ensure business continuity and succession, and deliver extraordinary I&O capabilities.
• Define and drive strategy and roadmap for platform services; articulate requirements that support company goals and scalability.
• Oversee the design and architecture across infrastructure platform services to ensure resiliency, security and performance.
• Align team activities and operations to company initiatives, coordinate with other infrastructure and operations teams, and facilitate cross-team integration.
• Own SLAs, OLAs, planning and operational performance metrics for platform services; review trends and drive improvement actions.
• Handle vendor and partner relationships relevant to platform services; negotiate contracts, track SLAs, and ensure service quality.
• Ensure compliance with security frameworks, regulatory requirements and corporate policies within platform services.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and cases to explain investments in platform technologies and operate within financial parameters.
• Facilitate incident resolution and problem management for complex platform issues; ensure timely restoration and corrective action.
• Represent the Platform Services team in multi-functional governance forums and executive updates.
