About The Position

The Infrastructure and Applications Engineer is a mid-level individual contributor responsible for designing, implementing, and advancing automation, CI/CD pipelines, and security integration across the company’s infrastructure and application platforms. This role bridges on-prem infrastructure (VMware, Dell compute/storage, Microsoft platforms, Rubrik) with modern engineering practices, enabling automated provisioning, secure-by-design pipelines, and resilient platform operations. The position plays a key role in driving automation-first operations, embedding security, improving disaster recovery readiness, and enabling the transition to GCP-centric cloud operations with cost governance.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering.
  • Experience with CI/CD, Terraform, and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Hands-on experience with VMware, Microsoft platforms, and enterprise backup.
  • Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Deep experience in GCP services and GKE.
  • Familiarity with Azure in hybrid environments (secondary only).
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and observability tools.
  • Certifications in GCP, DevOps, or security.
  • Bilingual in Spanish /English is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
  • Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for VMware/private cloud and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Standardize deployment patterns to ensure repeatability and consistency.
  • Automate provisioning, patching, configuration validation, and scaling.
  • Integrate automation across VMware, Microsoft platforms, and Rubrik.
  • Enable self-service provisioning with governance.
  • Standardize DEV/TEST/PROD environments.
  • Embed identity, access, and credential management into pipelines.
  • Implement vulnerability scanning and compliance validation.
  • Enforce secure baselines and monitoring.
  • Automate backup validation and recovery workflows using Rubrik.
  • Codify disaster recovery procedures into repeatable workflows.
  • Improve recovery through dependency-aware sequencing and testing.
  • Integrate monitoring, logging, and alerting into pipelines.
  • Enable proactive detection and automated remediation.
  • Support incident response with rollback and automation.
  • Design automation for GCP (Compute, networking, storage, IAM).
  • Support hybrid integration between VMware and GCP.
  • Enable workload portability and standardized deployments.
  • Provide cost visibility through tagging and instrumentation.
  • Support cost allocation and usage tracking.
  • Promote cost-aware engineering practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
