About The Position

CACI’s National Mission Systems (NMS) group is seeking a highly motivated Infrastructure Lead to support mission‑critical environments by ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure across cloud and bare‑metal systems. This role puts you at the center of delivering a secure, resilient cutting‑edge ground infrastructure housing mission critical space-based applications. You will shape how national security missions are executed from space to ground using modern deployment approaches and emerging technologies. This position will be onsite at a CACI facility in Sterling, VA.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study
  • 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, network architecture, and development environments.
  • Proven experience with Linux system administration.
  • Experience with information security and compliance with government policies.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols and security (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems (Git)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • CISSP or Security+ certification (or comparable information security certification)

Nice To Haves

  • Full systems lifecycle experience
  • Experience with DevOps processes and tools

Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-disciplined infrastructure team of approximately 15 engineers
  • Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security of services
  • Develop and maintain governance policies and best practices
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Solid understanding of Automated Infrastructure configuration management
  • Experience with infrastructure troubleshooting and resolution
  • Understanding in the design, implementation, procurement, tradecraft, or maintenance of various layers of network infrastructure
  • Provide escalation support and communicate incident status to management and customers
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external service providers, and customers
  • Ensure compliance with government IT and security policies, including cross‑security domain requirements.
