About The Position

The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for Infrastructure Locator I in the Line Maintenance department. The incumbent operates equipment such as trucks, mowers, a variety of power and hand tools in order to accurately locate and mark City owned infrastructure to include but not limited to: water, sewer, storm sewer, traffic control devices, electric lines and fiber optic lines. Mental alertness and adaptability to office and field area work routines.

Requirements

  • Must possess high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid Oklahoma Class "D" driver's license and be insurable.
  • Must have or obtain ODEQ Class "D" Water and Wastewater certifications within one (1) year.
  • Equivalent to four years high school or GED, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or others, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in infrastructure location field preferred.
