Infrastructure Linux Operations Engineer
About The Position
Qube Research & Technologies (QRT) is a global quantitative and systematic investment manager operating across liquid asset classes worldwide. It combines data, research, technology, and trading expertise in a collaborative, technology- and data-driven environment. The Infrastructure Operations Team supports the stability and performance of QRT’s global Linux estate, which underpins its trading and research platforms. The team provides day-to-day operational support in collaboration with end users, application teams, and engineering groups, and drives automation, monitoring, and deployment initiatives across a high-performance computing environment.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in a systems engineering or infrastructure role supporting high-availability systems.
- Strong Linux administration expertise, including Red Hat, CentOS, or Rocky Linux.
- Experience delivering full server lifecycle deployments, from hardware installation through operating system build.
- Working knowledge of Solarflare cards and Onload kernel bypass.
- Understanding of AMD and Intel server hardware and components.
- Working knowledge of server networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, UDP, and LAN/WAN technologies.
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible.
- Familiarity with scripting languages, including Python and Bash.
- Strong problem-solving ability and excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn and adapt.
- Enthusiasm for technology and continuous improvement.
