About The Position

Infrastructure Engineering (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, Massachusetts): Will work in a Senior DevOps and Automation Engineering role. Specific duties include: Leverages Services/Tooling such as Terraform, Packer, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, etc. for infrastructure provisioning for various application teams, in AWS/Azure/OCI hosted environments; works as Lead engineer for State Street’s event management (monitoring, alerting, notification) systems (running on Splunk); performs duties as Lead platform engineer for State Street’s MLOps solution (running on Data robot); automates/standardizes/regulates deployment of observability (monitoring) infrastructure stack by designing and employing IaC practices; creates integrations between messaging platforms and its customers using messaging/queueing services; creates scaffolding (Web interfaces and APIs) for infra platforms to automate platform operations; utilizes experience in full CM process using tools such as Git; creates Docker containers and Docker consoles for managing the application life cycle, utilizing experience in installation of Docker, creation of custom Docker container images, tagging and pushing the images; demonstrates proficiency in all aspects of the software life cycle, such as Build/Release/Deploy, and has specialized knowledge of cloud automation through open-source DevOps tools like Jenkins; utilizes extensive experience in designing and implementation of continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment through Jenkins; writes Python and Bash Scripts for automating common tasks; designs and implements CI/CD pipelines using automation and deployment tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, and terraform, among others; builds systems that integrate with ticket management tools such as ServiceNow; builds custom applications, tables, catalogs in ServiceNow to automate the operation tasks; has aptitude to pick up new technology skills (Databricks, snowflake etc.) to transform applications currently using CDSW, Data robot, Elasticsearch etc; has excellent communications & presentation skills – able to explain complex tasks to management; builds relationship and collaborates with many technical & business teams to deliver projects on time. Full-time telecommuting from within the United States permitted pursuant to Company policy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, plus 5 years of experience as a Platform Engineer or other occupation/title providing relevant work experience with public clouds, DevOps, Automation and with CI/CD/CT technologies.
  • Alternatively, a master’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, plus 3 years of experience as a Platform Engineer or other occupation/title providing relevant work experience with public clouds, DevOps, Automation and with CI/CD/CT technologies.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with multi-cloud technologies like Azure and/or AWS and with virtual services such as SaaS, PaaS and IaaS
  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop, set-up, configure, and monitor with any application performance monitoring tool
  • Strong practical understanding of core technologies (Linux, Unix, Windows Operating Systems, Cloud technologies, PaaS) and their associated governance, lifecycle management, and delivery.

Responsibilities
