About The Position

RISA is hiring an infrastructure automation engineer to build and run the platform our customer's mission depends on. This role offers the opportunity to leverage serious Kubernetes, Ansible, and Linux skills for a customer requiring a TS/SCI clearance. You will work directly with leadership and customers from planning through maintenance, leading the design, build, and maintenance of virtualized and containerized infrastructure. The role focuses on maturing automation across the server lifecycle, including onboarding, patching, and sunsetting, as well as building and maintaining Kubernetes infrastructure and onboarding development teams. You will also administer Ansible and Salt, write documentation and training, keep CI/CD performant, and perform root cause analysis on escalated issues.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI.
Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Government polygraph after hire.
Bachelor's degree in a field applicable to the position plus 6 years of relevant experience. Equivalents accepted - Master's plus 4, Associate's plus 8, or High School diploma/GED plus 10.
IAT Level II, and the ability to obtain CSSP Infrastructure Support within 120 days of hire.
Advanced Linux.
4+ years in one or more of: Kubernetes; Salt or Ansible; YAML, Python, Bash, or Ruby; Git.
Willingness to work an on-call rotation including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, build, and maintenance of virtualized and containerized infrastructure.
Mature automation across the server lifecycle - onboarding, patching, sunsetting.
Build and maintain Kubernetes infrastructure and onboard development teams onto it.
Administer Ansible and Salt, and write the documentation and training around them.
Keep CI/CD performant and current; run root cause analysis on escalated issues.
Work directly with customers from planning through maintenance.
