We are seeking an Infrastructure Asset Analyst to join our Technical Delivery team in Vancouver, BC. This role manages assets through their lifecycle, including CMDB accuracy to support operational excellence as one of the governance pillars of IREN’s HPC infrastructure delivery and IOC operations team. They will be responsible for ensuring every compute asset is accurately received, verified, tagged, registered, and tracked from the moment it arrives through to operational handoff and beyond. Working directly under the Sr. Manager, Technical Delivery, the Infrastructure Asset Analyst will champion Asset Management within IREN. They own the accuracy and completeness of IREN’s asset records in NetBox across all active sites. This role is the authoritative source for asset state, location, and status underpinning all IOC activities while supporting IREN’s ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance posture at every stage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or equivalent hands-on professional experience; ITIL v4 Foundation certification preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience in an asset management, CMDB, IT operations, or infrastructure coordination role within a data center, HPC, cloud, or enterprise technology environment
  • Hands-on experience with CMDB or asset management platforms - NetBox experience a plus; equivalent platforms such as Device42, ServiceNow CMDB, or Sunbird
  • Demonstrated experience managing hardware asset lifecycles including intake, tagging, registration, location tracking, status management, and decommission or crossover to operations
  • Awareness of ISO 27001 and/or SOC 2 control frameworks as they relate to asset management, configuration management, and records retention
  • Familiarity with rack-level data center infrastructure with an understanding of server hardware, network equipment, cabling, and physical rack layouts sufficient to accurately record and validate asset attributes
  • Experience with JIRA or equivalent ticketing platforms for tracking asset intake tasks, corrective actions, CMDB population and crossover items
  • Familiarity with Confluence or equivalent documentation platforms for maintaining asset management procedures and intake checklists
  • Strong attention to detail and data discipline to maintain a high level of accuracy to support breakfix, compliance, and operational readiness
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with delivery, engineering, data center operations, and service management teams to validate asset data and resolve discrepancies
  • Hands-on experience with integrations to manage data quality from multiple sources
  • Understanding of service transition principles ensuring CMDB correctly reflects assets and operationally ready at go-live
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate across technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Own hardware asset intake processes for receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming compute hardware against purchase orders and delivery manifests, assigning asset IDs, and completing intake checklists before any equipment progresses to staging or installation
  • Maintain CMDB accuracy in NetBox across all data center sites ensuring every asset has the correct rack location, port, status, and configuration attributes to support incident, breakfix, replacement and redeployment of assets
  • Govern asset crossover between delivery and operations ensuring every asset transferred to operational ownership is accurately recorded in NetBox with correct state, location, and status before handoff is confirmed
  • Identify and remediate CMDB discrepancies by conducting regular audits of asset records against physical inventory, raising corrective actions for gaps or inaccuracies, and tracking resolution to completion
  • Support delivery gate progression by confirming asset registration and CMDB accuracy against the MOP, providing the Sr. Manager and Delivery Coordinator with a reliable asset status view
  • Maintain asset tracking through the full delivery lifecycle from intake and staging through rack installation, firmware baseline, validation, and operational handoff ensuring assets maintain traceability at any stage
  • Maintain asset management documentation, intake procedures, and audit readiness by ensuring intake checklists, tagging standards, CMDB registration procedures, and all asset records meet ISO 27001 and SOC 2 retention and traceability requirements.
  • Drive CMDB maturity across IREN by enforcing CI data standards, attribute completeness and relationship mapping in NetBox, and producing CMDB health metrics to demonstrate accuracy and coverage as infrastructure scales
