About The Position

Solipsys, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Raytheon Missile and Defense (RMD) and Raytheon Technologies (RTX), is seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative, and dedicated Infrastructure Administrator – On-Prem & Cloud to join their Digital Technology (DT) Team. This role is based onsite in Fulton, MD. The successful candidate will assist in the implementation and integration of IT solutions and infrastructure deployments, enhancing the resiliency and availability of critical services. Responsibilities include maintaining existing technologies, building, maintaining, and troubleshooting operational environments, including cloud environments. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for conveying technical information effectively and staying current with technology trends.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification or eligible to achieve certification.
  • AWS Professional level Cloud Certifications such as Solution Architect Professional or DevOps Engineer Professional.
  • Proficiency in IaC such as Terraform, Ansible, and Python for infrastructure automation.
  • Understanding of system hardening and security compliance through NISPOM, DISA STIGs, NIST 800-171, including implementation, adherence, and auditing/assessment against control families.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued secret clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Active Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Administration and automation of cloud and on-premise environments, including managing authentication and security configuration via Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and developing configuration policies.
  • Developing and supporting Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Pipelines for Agile implementations of enterprise services across multiple environments for consistent configurations.
  • Windows and Linux system administration of enterprise-wide or program/lab related systems, including setting up new and/or maintaining existing environments (bare-metal, virtual, or cloud-based).
  • Administration or support of virtualized environments leveraging technologies like VMWare, Hyper-V, Citrix, and Proxmox.
  • Documenting and reporting on system configuration and adherence to hardening requirements (e.g., CIS, DISA STIG, NIST).
  • Working with Solipsys Cyber Operations for vulnerability mitigations, incident response, and compliance efforts.
  • Assisting in the implementation and integration of COTS solutions and infrastructure deployments to provide new capabilities or services.
  • Managing and complying with existing security technologies deployed throughout the enterprise.
  • Collaborating with team members to leverage skills and knowledge for developing and designing future technology solutions consistent with enterprise architecture security policies.
  • Staying up-to-date with current technology innovations.
