About The Position
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Infrastructure Administrator / Systems Administrator to support and maintain enterprise applications, servers, and infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have strong Linux administration experience, expertise in Tomcat application servers, and hands-on experience with software deployments. This role requires flexibility to support deployment activities, system maintenance, and troubleshooting across various environments.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator, Infrastructure Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong experience administering Linux environments.
- Hands-on experience managing Apache Tomcat servers.
- Experience with application deployments and release processes.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Flexible schedule and willingness to support deployment windows when required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation tools.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and system performance tuning.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments.
Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and monitor Linux-based servers and infrastructure.
- Install, configure, and manage Apache Tomcat application servers.
- Support application deployments, upgrades, patches, and release management activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system, application, and infrastructure issues.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security compliance.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure successful application deployments.
- Manage system backups, disaster recovery procedures, and server maintenance.
- Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and system configurations.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.
- Participate in after-hours deployments and support activities as needed.
