About The Position

This role provides testing support for in-vehicle infotainment applications. The specialist will create, implement, maintain, and enhance test plans, test scripts, and test methodologies to ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned products. They will develop software quality test plans and test cases, and lead in setting and maintaining standards for Software Quality Assurance test documentation. Collaboration with Product Owners to elaborate user stories and review upcoming requirements for impact to testing is expected. The specialist will also collaborate with developers to improve overall product quality by emphasizing defect prevention throughout the development process. Identifying and analyzing defects and test results to deduce the chain of events leading to a failure, communicating testing results, and identifying areas for test improvement are key responsibilities. The role also involves ensuring project schedules are adhered to, maintaining defect reports and status, comparing expected results to actual results, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and updating management on testing progress. Up to two days remote work per week is permitted.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field of study
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Test Lead, Lead Engineer or related occupation.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Software testing experience
  • Two (2) years of experience with testing tools such as TFS
  • Two (2) years of experience with Software development lifecycle and software development methodologies and process workflow
  • Two (2) years of experience executing both manual and automated test scripts to verify infotainment components based off the functional requirements
  • Two (2) years of experience with context-based, exploratory, or scenario testing: system integration, regression, or application performance testing
  • Two (2) years of experience working in an Agile Development Environment.

Responsibilities

  • Compare expected results to actual results and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Update management regularly about the progress of testing activities.
