About The Position

This position supports the MARFORSOUTH G3/9 Operation Support contract, focusing on executing information warfare capacities. Terrestris leverages technology to create better mission outcomes through improved human performance, fostering strong client and team relationships through transparency. The Information Warfare Specialist will support MARFORSOUTH G-39 in planning, integration, coordination, and assessment of Information Operations (IO), Military Information Support Operations (MISO), and Military Deception (MILDEC) activities across USSOUTHCOM. This is a full-time, on-site position contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

  • A current Top Secret clearance is required.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience planning and integrating IO, with a strong emphasis on MISO/PSYOP and MILDEC at the tactical or operational level.
  • Verifiable experience and expertise in the MISO/PSYOP planning process.
  • Verifiable experience and expertise in the MILDEC planning process.
  • Experience with Target Audience Analysis, message development, and effects assessment.
  • A valid US driver’s license.
  • A valid US passport.
  • Ability to obtain Country visa if required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduation from a DoD-approved qualification course is highly desirable.
  • Graduation from a DoD-approved planning course is highly desirable.
  • SOUTHCOM AOR experience.
  • Experience planning at the Combatant Command level.
  • MARFOR experience.
  • Defense Language Program 2/2 or greater Spanish abilities.
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas verbally so others will understand in English and in Spanish.
  • Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience either via electronic or written mediums in English and Spanish.
  • The ability to create products and presentations that communicate ideas effectively and concisely in English and in Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Support government-led execution of MARFORSOUTH G-39 planning, coordination, and integration of IO, MISO, and MILDEC activities.
  • Draft and recommend IO, MISO, and MILDEC plans, annexes, and appendices for government review and approval.
  • Develop and propose MILDEC concepts and integrate them with broader operational plans.
  • Conduct and maintain Target Audience Analysis for countries within the USSOUTHCOM AOR.
  • Interface routinely with counterparts at USSOUTHCOM, Headquarters USMC, other service components, and interagency partners on all matters related to IO, MISO, and MILDEC.
  • Develop and provide assessments on the performance and effectiveness of IO, MISO, and MILDEC activities and campaigns.
  • Interface routinely with counterparts at USSOUTHCOM, Headquarters USMC, United States Navy, and United States Country Teams located in the USSOUTHCOM AOR.
  • Travel as required, up to 96 days per year, to OCONUS locations in the U.S. Southern Command Area of Responsibility (AOR) or the Caribbean, maintaining telecommunication capabilities.
  • Support MARFORSOUTH operational planning teams, tasker reviews, and planning conferences by providing recommendations and gathering information to facilitate planning.
