About The Position

The Information Technology Systems Specialist will serve as the administrator and technical owner for core business systems, including ERP, ecommerce, warehouse management, and EDI platforms. This role involves building, monitoring, and maintaining integrations and automations for data flow between systems, setting up and maintaining EDI connections with trading partners, and troubleshooting integration and data errors. The specialist will also support infrastructure and users by setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting computers, devices, printers, and user accounts, as well as installing and maintaining network equipment. Security, access controls, and data backup practices will be maintained, and technical support and training will be provided to employees. Vendor management, support contracts, and renewals are also key responsibilities. Additionally, the role involves partnering with teams to identify manual processes and recommend technology solutions, leading or supporting new system implementations and upgrades, and coordinating with Snow Peak Japan on shared systems and global technology projects. The position requires the ability to explain technical issues in plain language, learn and document inherited systems, manage multiple priorities, and provide superior customer service.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
5 years related work experience in IT, systems administration, or systems integration
Experience supporting ERP, ecommerce, warehouse management, and EDI platforms; SAP Business ByDesign, Shopify, Celigo, ShipHero, and SPS Commerce preferred
Working knowledge of REST and GraphQL APIs, including token-based authentication
Working knowledge of JSON, XML, and EDI data formats
Intermediate SQL for querying, analyzing, and reconciling data across systems
Scripting or automation experience, such as JavaScript, Visual Basic, or Power Automate
Fundamental ability to troubleshoot PCs, devices, and networks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to explain technical issues in plain language to non-technical teams
Ability to learn and document inherited systems before making changes
Superior time management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple, concurrent, time-sensitive priorities
Superior customer service

Responsibilities

Set up and maintain EDI connections with wholesale trading partners
Troubleshoot integration and data errors, identify root causes, and implement fixes that prevent repeat issues
Maintain documentation of system configurations, integrations, and support procedures
Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, devices, printers, and user accounts
Install and maintain network equipment and connectivity across all locations
Maintain security, access controls, and data backup practices
Provide technical support and training to employees
Manage technology vendors, support contracts, and renewals
Partner with teams to identify manual processes and recommend technology solutions
Lead or support new system implementations and upgrades
Coordinate with Snow Peak Japan on shared systems and global technology projects
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned
