About The Position

In this hands-on role, you provide responsive Level 1 support across multiple sites, endpoints, collaboration tools, and daily operations within Infrastructure & Site Operations. You will resolve user issues, deploy and maintain devices, support Microsoft 365 environments, and keep assets and documentation accurate to ensure secure, standardized technology services for a fast-moving aerospace/defense organization. This position reports to the Director of IT.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of experience in information technology (IT) help desk, desktop, or field support.
  • Working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.
  • Basic networking knowledge: Wi‑Fi, Ethernet, virtual private network (VPN), Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Internet Protocol (IP).
  • Experience with ticketing systems and clear documentation.
  • Strong customer service with the ability to follow procedures and escalate appropriately.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or technical coursework.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or regulated environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 GCC High.
  • Exposure to Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID/Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
  • Experience with conference rooms/Teams Rooms and printer/scanner/badge/label devices.
  • Familiarity with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800‑171, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), and Sarbanes–Oxley (SOX).
  • Certifications such as Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) A+, Network+, Microsoft, and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation.
  • Experience with Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) tools such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Freshservice, or Zendesk.

Responsibilities

  • Triages, troubleshoots, resolves, and escalates incidents and requests through tickets, phone, Microsoft Teams, email, walk-up, and remote support; documents clearly and contributes to the knowledge base.
  • Supports user issues across Windows, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), browsers, printers, virtual private network (VPN), passwords, access, and business applications with a professional, helpful approach.
  • Images, configures, deploys, and troubleshoots endpoints and devices including laptops/desktops, monitors, docks, peripherals, mobile devices, shared workstations, and shop‑floor devices; handles provisioning for new hires, moves, role changes, and offboarding; supports patching, encryption, antivirus, and device health.
  • Provides Level 1 collaboration support for Microsoft 365 Government Community Cloud High (GCC High), including meetings, calendaring, file sharing, email delivery, mailbox access, Teams audio/video, OneDrive sync, and SharePoint access; escalates complex access, compliance, or configuration issues.
  • Delivers hands-on site support for conference rooms and audio/visual (AV), printers/scanners/badge and label printers, shop-floor workstations, and network-connected devices; performs basic troubleshooting for local connectivity, Wi‑Fi, cabling, phones, and end‑user access; supports onboarding of acquired/new sites and rapidly escalates site-impacting incidents.
  • Maintains accurate asset records for laptops, desktops, monitors, docks, mobile devices, peripherals, and printers, including receiving, tagging, assignment, inventory validation, storage, refresh, return, retirement, and secure disposal/sanitization; supports audits and reconciliation.
  • Follows company security policies and procedures for support, endpoint handling, password resets, access requests, data protection, and physical security; supports Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), Sarbanes–Oxley (SOX), audit, and cybersecurity readiness.
  • Identifies and escalates phishing, malware, suspicious activity, and unauthorized software; assists with compliance checks, remediation, updates, evidence collection; ensures documentation supports auditability and operational control.
