About The Position

The IT Support Specialist will assist the IT Coordinator in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues for employees as well as maintaining computer systems, configuring hardware and software used by the Credit Union.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
  • Working knowledge of computers and peripheral hardware components
  • Basic knowledge of Office 365 suite
  • Degree in Information Technology, other related degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to those who may not understand some technical concepts
  • High level problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and retain technological procedures
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a time sensitive environment
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Can work independently on assigned tasks
  • Ability to work and contribute positively as part of a team
  • Efficient time management skills
  • Demonstrate sound work ethics
  • Standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time.
  • Commuting to and from Credit Union branch locations, sometimes on short notice.
  • Ability to lift up to 35lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Operating the ServiceDesk ticket platform, such as prioritizing and resolving IT tickets.
  • Providing on-site or virtual technical support services for employees.
  • Installing computers/peripherals and creating user profiles for employees.
  • Installing software and updates on domain connected computers and servers.
  • Assisting in organizing and maintaining hardware inventory across all branches.
  • Assisting in the process of on boarding / off boarding of employees (user accounts, license assignments, network/file access, etc.)
  • Providing user access to network folders and maintain appropriate user access/security.
  • Creating/maintaining various logs and diagrams of credit union resources and processes.
  • Assisting in reviewing vulnerability assessments, making and documenting recommended changes.
  • Assisting in gathering information for audits and helping with mitigation documentation.
  • Supporting the IT Coordinator in the day-to-day IT operations for the Credit Union.
  • Other duties as assigned.
