About The Position

Barton Associates are in search of a customer-focused Information Technology Support Specialist to join our IT team based in York, PA Serve as primary Tier 1 and Tier 2 help desk contact, providing hands-on and remote support for hardware, software, Windows 11 systems, and connectivity issues. Support and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 environment, including Outlook, Office apps, Teams (chat/voice/video), email security (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and user licensing. Knowledge of Windows Server 2019+ environments and core services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. Utilize PowerShell scripting and automation tools to improve IT operations, manage deployments, and maintain accurate system inventory and documentation. Provide installation, licensing, and troubleshooting support for specialized engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, SKM, Trane Trace). Deliver strong customer-focused service in a fast-paced, multi-location environment, prioritizing issues effectively while maintaining detailed documentation.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a help desk or IT support role
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Windows 11 operating systems
  • Microsoft Office 365 environment, including New Outlook and Teams
  • Dell, Intel NUC, HP, Lenovo Hardware
  • Active Directory
  • DNS/DHCP
  • Group Policy

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting engineering or architecture software environments
