About The Position

Under the general direction of the Information Technology Manager I (ITM I), the Information Technology Supervisor II manages, coordinates, provides technical consulting and support over the full range of server and software activities, with a strong emphasis on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. This role involves complex IT Operation and Cloud operations. The incumbent develops and maintains the IT system operating schedules and analyzes them for efficiency. The position supervises and monitors the daily work and performance of cross-functional staff and is responsible for ensuring the quality of IT operations environment documentation and reporting. The incumbent consults with senior management to ensure strategic goals are met and directs the daily operations of data backups, verification, and recovery, focusing on cloud-native and hybrid solutions.   • Invest in continuous education or certification to maintain up-to-date knowledge in information technology, emphasizing infrastructure services.
  • Promote and advocate for the foundational information system principles of Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA) throughout the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and internal policies regarding IT operations, data privacy, security, and ethics.
  • Understand and implement industry standards, data privacy regulations, and compliance requirements to enforce best practices.
  • Keep current with emerging trends and best practices (including AI, machine learning, and cloud-based platforms) and evaluate their impact on IT strategy.
  • Knowledge of the end-to-end Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD) concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub, Maven).
  • Knowledge of software security best practices, including security flaw identification, mitigation, and correction.
