About The Position

Board of Park Commissioners of the Cleveland Metropolitan Park District d/b/a Cleveland Metroparks is seeking an Information Technology Specialist in Cleveland, Ohio. Provide in house technical support primarily for the Police Division of Cleveland Metroparks which can consist of PC, Mac, and other devices consisting of both hardware and software via telephone, remote access and in-person visits. Provide end user technical support via phone, email, remote access and in-person visits. Diagnose issue(s) then determine the best course of action to resolve issue(s). Create a service desk ticket for each issue which includes problem description, actions taken to resolve, and final resolution. Install and update software applications and document software and hardware installation procedures. Update asset, IP, software, hardware, ticketing and licensing databases. Optimize computers to improve performance and security. Work closely with Network Operations and Web Services to resolve client/server/login application issues. Anticipate security alerts, incidents, and disasters and reduce their likelihood. Recommend, install and maintain security tools and policies. Apply OS and Application patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Maintain Cyber security for devices and network including but not limited to anti-virus, malware protection, etc. Assist in managing and maintaining Police related systems: Police related software (Records Management System (RMS), Coban, Crash Reporting, etc.); Milestone IP Video Systems; Radio console and radio-related systems. The position requires a 24/7 rotating schedule to provide on-call support for one week at a time, every 12 weeks.

Requirements

  • Position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field of study.
  • The position requires two (2) years of experience as a Software Developer, IT Analyst or a related occupation.
  • The position also requires one (1) year of experience in each of the following: Microsoft Office suite of programs; Windows, MAC, IOS, and Android operating systems; hardware and software installation; Network Technology, including Active Directory, VPN, and remote desktop; Galaxy access control system; Digital Radio Technology; Police Systems including LEADS, WatchGuard, inVize ID, MDT Hardware and software configuration, and CJIS certification; Cryptocurrency project development in conjunction with Finance; and large scale deployments of hardware and software.
