About The Position

Under the general direction of the Information Technology Manager I (ITM I), the IT Specialist II (Senior Data Analyst) will be responsible for researching, defining, developing, and implementing data quality standards and governance for the department's data ecosystem. The incumbent must demonstrate an in-depth understanding of data maturity models, analysis tools and platforms, and possess innovative problem-solving solutions to complex data challenges. The ITS II must have strong communication skills and be adept at distilling complex analytical concepts to program leads and management. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential. The position will perform complex data analysis independently or with cross-functional teams to meet the needs of the organization. Nice To Haves

  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis, statistical methods, and data visualization techniques (e.g., Python, SQL, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience developing and applying data governance, data quality standards, or data maturity models.
  • Experience working with data modeling, machine learning, or artificial intelligence workflows for advanced analytics.
  • Experience designing or maintaining ETL/ELT workflows in cloud environments. Proficiency with data integration tools such as FME and Airbyte.
  • Experience developing data visualizations, dashboards, or real-time operational reports (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, GIS).
  • Experience troubleshooting data inconsistencies, workflow failures, or system-level data issues.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and tools like Snowflake.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and high-stakes scenarios.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Prior experience in disaster response and recovery efforts or similar fast-paced environments.
