The incumbent of this position will report to the Critical Infrastructure Unit within the Office of Counter Terrorism. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Perform cybersecurity and homeland security analysis which includes, but is not limited to, analysis of terrorist tactics and trends; infrastructure security trend analysis; program evaluation; physical and cybersecurity risk analysis; physical and cybersecurity risk assessments, hazard analysis; or any other public safety analysis as appropriate. Conduct assessments of information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) infrastructure, which includes, working with internal and external partners, reviewing, evaluating, and commenting on physical and cyber safety and security plans and concepts; identification of vulnerabilities at fixed facilities; making recommendations to improve the security of facilities; and discovering potential failures. Organize, coordinate, and facilitate legislatively mandated visits and ensure all required staff activities are completed. Work with a multi-disciplinary team as well as developing and maintaining positive relationships with agency partners, including public and private sector entities. Conduct comprehensive research on counter terrorism and cybersecurity trends at the state, federal and international levels. Draft preliminary reports and recommendations based on gathered information. Develop a detailed knowledge base and understanding of cyber vulnerabilities and security best practices. Develop and review collection tools utilized to support fieldwork. Maintain open communication and information sharing channels, and collaborate as needed with, with the Cyber Incident Response Team. Review, record, and advise on cybersecurity findings of Public Water System vulnerability assessments to reduce potential risk to the sector. Support and manage, as assigned, the cybersecurity working group to review and produce written submissions to the report writing lead in critical sectors. Participate in professional development opportunities and maintain certifications to validate proficiency. Work with sensitive information, requiring the ability to obtain a National Security Clearance. Travel will be required (approximately 30%) including during evening and weekends, depending on mission and assignment. Possession and maintenance of a valid Driver's License issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles is required, or otherwise demonstrate the capacity to meet the transportation needs of the position.
