About The Position

The Boeing Company’s Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) organization is seeking an Information Technology Software and Business Partner Manager to join the team in Auburn, WA; Seattle, WA; Tukwila, WA; Berkeley, MO; or Hazelwood, MO. The selected candidate will lead team members supporting Engineering Product Lifecycle Management software plus a variety of Engineering, Test & Technology functions with IT Business Partners. Our Information Technology Business Partners (ITBP) work ensures individuals and initiatives across Engineering are set up for success in leveraging IDT&S products and services. This individual must leverage strong skills in relationship building and teaming, problem solving, communication at multiple levels, and software lifecycle management and maintenance. They will work to refine team operations, empower and support team members, and lead them to successful delivery of valuable business solutions. They will also act as a mentor and coach to their reports, helping them develop and grow in their careers and skills. They will manage allocated budgets and advocate for future strategic investments. Finally, they will work with a specialized set of stakeholders, spanning Engineering as well as our Business units and the breadth of IDT&S, partnering to further strengthen relationships and trust across units.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • 5+ years of experience working with global teams
  • 5+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership
  • Experience working with agile teams and agile software development

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Experience with and exposure to physical and technical security, as well as physical Lab environments
  • Experience communicating complex concepts clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience building teams from the ground up and transitioning them into highly effective operations
  • Experience with software startup environments
  • Experience with Agile Software Development
  • Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
  • Experience coaching and mentoring peers and/or reports to continuous learning and improvement

  • Empower teams so they can operate with a high degree of autonomy and self-organization, and deliver to business priorities
  • Strategically manage the team and their deliverables, including projections for future staffing needs, to ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Work with team members to manage work priorities, facilitate skill assignments, and address people’s actions to maintain high performing teams
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships on a global scale with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Manage technical debt to ensure products get and stay ahead of the technology obsolescence curve
  • Identify, recruit, develop, engage, and retain team talent
  • Financial management of allocated budgets and projection/prioritization of future investment needs
