About The Position

Responsible for managing IT security systems in a large enterprise and designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect the organization's computer systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. The position identifies threats and vulnerabilities in systems and software and develops and implements solutions to defend against hacking, malware and ransomware, insider threats, and other types of cybercrime.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5 years of experience in Information Technology, including 3 years in a security-focused role.
• 1 year in Security Engineering across multiple disciplines.
• Ability to travel to other McLaren subsidiaries as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Information Technology, including 5+ years in a security-focused role.
• 3+ years in Security Engineering across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Engineer security solutions without oversight while collaborating with multiple internal departments and vendors.
• Analyze security systems and seek continuous improvements, best practices, and standards.
• Plan, implement, manage, monitor, troubleshoot, and upgrade security measures to protect the organization's data, systems, and networks.
• Respond to system and network security breaches; perform cybersecurity incident triage, review logs, and carry out remediation activities.
• Enable appropriate security controls to protect the organization's data and infrastructure.
• Research vulnerabilities, perform vulnerability scanning, and alleviate threats.
• Develop new processes, cross-train coworkers, and assist employees with security-related matters.
• Review and reduce inappropriate or overprovisioned access to support least-privileged access.
