About The Position
The IT Manager leads VSE’s technology function, ensuring IT is a responsive support function and strategic business partner that enables our people and business to operate efficiently, securely, and at scale. This role oversees IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems, software transitions, and technology projects across VSE’s multi-state environment. The IT Manager partners closely with business leaders to understand needs, implement practical technology solutions, and identify opportunities to leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve productivity, decision-making, and business performance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, business-minded technology leader who brings a Humble, Curious, and Electric approach to technology and partnership.

Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders across the organization to understand needs and deliver practical technology solutions.
- Manage IT operations across multiple states and two locations.
- Oversee infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity, hardware, software, and business applications.
- Lead software implementations, migrations, upgrades, integrations, and technology transitions.
- Support and optimize ERP (Infor Syteline)
- Serve as an AI thought partner to the business.
- Identify opportunities to responsibly use AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve productivity and decision-making.
- Lead technology projects from planning through implementation.
- Manage priorities, timelines, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communication.
- Ensure successful adoption of new systems and technology through effective change management.
- Evaluate and manage vendors, service providers, and technology partners.
- Maintain cybersecurity, access controls, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices.
- Ensure IT policies and practices support applicable compliance and business requirements.
