About The Position

The IT Manager will operate independently and exercise advanced discretion and judgement with both macro and micro level responsibilities. This is a hands-on role that includes; oversite, investigation and resolution of end user support needs, customer service, infrastructure management including security, and recovery strategies and network administration, and strategic planning. The work scope will require the IT Manager to be involved in internal service management, including coordination between Corporate IT, outsourced IT, and internal clients. The IT Manager is responsible for managing and keeping confidential highly sensitive information.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, telecommunications or related field OR equivalent experience and training
  • Five (5) or more years of technology management experience
  • Ten (10) plus years of high-level working knowledge of technology infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of large desktop/laptop deployments including design, engineering and support of the desktop, desktop applications, desktop images, encryption, endpoint security and the associated systems of application delivery and group policies
  • Storage and information security experience in line with industry standards including general principals of standard security audits and certifications
  • Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Users, Groups, ACLs, and Policies
  • Advanced knowledge of general MS Windows Applications
  • General understanding of networking concepts
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and oral; capable of leading meetings in a professional manner
  • Ability to work effectively independently and with technical teams as well as operational teams
  • Proactive change agent skills with competent follow through

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day IT operations:
  • Implement and manage network security as established by Corporate policy.
  • Effectively communicate relevant IT systems information to the CFO and the Executive Team in a timely fashion.
  • Work closely with Executive Team to plan yearly budget and projects based on Company goals for the year.
  • Determine the schedule of IT projects throughout the year.
  • Work closely with Executive Team to champion Information Technology within the company.
  • Attend regular conference calls with Corporate IT & Security.
  • Responsible for IT Security & Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate IT Standards.
  • Oversee and manage the deployment of IT and Security tools.
  • Communicate & educate employees on IT and Security best practices.
  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
  • Responsible for the IT Infrastructure and Operations:
  • Manage the process of changes effectively, while remaining at the forefront of emerging industry practice and products.
  • Plan for future needs and identify solutions to satisfy needs.
  • Design, implement, and maintain integrations between business applications and core systems
  • Support software implementations, including data mapping, workflow alignment, and system interoperability
  • Oversee, plan, implementation, and management of the communication systems and software of the company.
  • Prepare 1-, 3- and 5-year technology plans for the site in conjunction with Company and Corporate and strategic plans.
  • Maintain an IT asset management program.
  • Oversee and manage system troubleshooting, backups, archiving and disaster recovery and provide or procure necessary support.
  • Maintain and test Business Continuity Plan in accordance with Corporate IT Policies and implement necessary changes as identified.
  • Ensure Compliance with Corporate Records Retention Policies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with IT vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts with IT vendors in coordination with Corporate and Company CEO, and Executive Team.
  • Manage sensitive information to the highest level of confidentiality according to Corporate IT and PSIP Policies.
  • Monitor compliance with established Company and Corporate policies and procedures and implement necessary changes as identified.
  • Responsible for the leadership and supervision of third-party IT resources:
  • Effectively lead, set direction and goals for third-party IT staff by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of third-party IT expenditures.
