Leads project management activities for complex IT initiatives, with a focus on business process analysis to define effective solutions aligned with system capabilities and constraints. Defines and leads business process analysis practices, quality standards, and performance metrics. Determines and evaluates risks that may affect projects and identifies dependencies and enterprise impacts. Defines and oversees activities to thoroughly analyze and document business processes and business and technical, functional and non-functional requirements for IT solutions. Establishes expectations for the development of clear, testable acceptance criteria by Business Process Analyst staff and ensures they are incorporated into downstream testing activities performed by quality assurance teams. Establishes and promotes best practices for business process analysis, including process documentation, procedures, templates, training, and knowledge sharing. Collaborates with ITS management, business units, and stakeholders to support effective planning, analysis, and delivery of solutions. Partners with business stakeholders to understand operational needs, support intake and shaping of new work, and ensure alignment between business priorities and IT delivery efforts. Manages requirements traceability throughout the development lifecycle to ensure business needs are fully addressed. Supervises, directs, and oversees Business Process Analyst staff (e.g., interviews and hires staff, completes performance evaluations, ensures training and work direction, recommends commendation and discipline). Confers & meets with users, vendors &/or other section managers in order to exchange information, resolve difficult or technical problems &/or to coordinate operations. Attends management-level meetings & provides expert advice to higher-level management personnel. Works with other divisions & offices on enterprise project & initiative tracking.
