Internship IT - Summer 2027

Mewbourne Oil CompanyTyler, TX

About The Position

As an Information Technology (IT) Intern at Mewbourne Oil Company, you will gain hands-on experience providing frontline technology support to employees across our office and field locations. Working closely with the IT Helpdesk and other members of the IT team, you will assist employees with hardware, software, connectivity, mobile device, and other day-to-day technology needs. This internship provides practical experience in troubleshooting technical issues, preparing and deploying computers and other equipment, supporting user accounts and applications, and helping ensure employees have the technology they need to work effectively. Interns will learn how a professional IT support organization manages incidents and service requests, documents solutions, escalates issues, and delivers responsive customer service. While the primary focus of the internship is Helpdesk and end-user support, interns will also have opportunities to work with and learn from other areas of IT, including networking, cybersecurity, business applications, data and analytics, and infrastructure. This broader exposure will help interns understand how the different functions within IT work together to support the company. Interns are encouraged to ask questions, take ownership of assignments, develop relationships with employees throughout the company, and build both the technical and customer-service skills required for a successful career in information technology.
