POSITION SUMMARY: The Information Technology Intern will be responsible for supporting daily IT operations and ongoing IT projects. This position will be assisting the IT Department with inventory, end user support, various projects, and internal initiatives. The ideal candidate for this role has a strong interest in technology, maintains good communication skills, and is growth minded.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, standardized hardware, and IT terminology
  • Basic knowledge of device, network, and IT environments
  • Able to receive instruction and execute in a group environment, independently, and with supervision
  • Time management and prioritization skills
  • Display a customer-focused attitude, with front-facing communication skills
  • Follow all information security guidelines and practices
  • Complete all required trainings that are assigned
  • Applicable majors: Computer Science, Information Science, Information Security, Engineering (or similar)
  • Must be able to work in a seated environment for long periods of time
  • Must be able to work remotely, if required
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50lbs
  • Reliable transportation, some travel may be required

Responsibilities

  • Assist with various IT duties/projects that include physical and remote support, migrations, installations, and configurations of Windows and other technology devices, as needed.
  • Assist with documentation, inventory management, device decommissions, and record cleanup.
  • Assist end users with support tasks, initiatives, and directives.
  • Complete inventory reconciliations for various technologies across multiple locations.
