About The Position

To provide assistance in the installation and maintenance of PC computer hardware and PC application software, including the removal and disposal of old PCs, set-up and installation of new PCs. This position is responsible for writing documentation such as web site help text and end user documentation and performing miscellaneous daily tasks.

Requirements

  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
  • Must have experience using a personal computer and Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel
  • All employees are required to reside within the state of Minnesota.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates that are currently pursuing a career in Information Technology or enrolled in Information Technology college courses
  • Experience trouble shooting PC hardware and software
  • Experience with audio/visual equipment and hybrid meeting environments
  • Experience with ZOOM, WebEx and Microsoft Teams

Responsibilities

  • Performs set-up and installation of PC's and printers.
  • Assists the IT staff with the removal and disposal of old PCs.
  • Assists IT staff with documenting various IS procedures and operations.
  • Assists IT staff with the implementation of departmental and County-wide computing projects.
  • Responsible for Service Desk duties such as dispatch, end user phone support and call resolution.
  • Updates the IT Service Desk Ivanti service manager.
  • Assists county staff with running audio/visual equipment for board meetings.
  • Attends work in a regular and timely manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.
