About The Position

Sandy Mac Evolution LLC is seeking an Information Technology/Information Assurance Specialist II to support Department of Defense Special Access Program activities at Scott AFB, Illinois. The IT/IA Specialist II provides day-to-day systems administration, cybersecurity, information assurance, and technical support within Collateral, SCI, and SAP environments.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of related experience.
  • Prior experience in roles such as System Administrator, Network Administrator, or Information Technology/Assurance Specialist.
  • SAP experience required.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and desktop operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server.
  • Working knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies and data backup technologies.
  • Working knowledge of COMSEC integration.
  • Working knowledge of Risk Management Framework, SCI information systems security standards, Common Criteria, and system security policy.
  • Current relevant experience with PL2 systems.
  • Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Active Top Secret clearance required.
  • Must possess or be eligible for SCI access.
  • Must be eligible for access to SAP information.
  • Must be willing to submit to a Counterintelligence Polygraph.
  • DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level II qualification required in lieu of IAT Level II.
  • Must satisfy applicable cybersecurity certification requirements associated with the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PL3 and PL4 cross-domain solutions desired.

Responsibilities

  • Establish operational software configuration controls and system interfaces for assigned systems.
  • Maintain file servers, firewalls, network access controls, security monitoring systems, and system documentation.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to maintain optimal performance.
  • Prepare systems for operational use and support operational testing.
  • Review, prepare, and update authorization packages.
  • Notify government customers when changes occur that could affect system authorization.
  • Conduct cybersecurity portions of self-inspection checklists.
  • Review and provide cybersecurity coordination on authorization package bodies of evidence.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and implement appropriate countermeasures.
  • Ensure information systems and network appliances are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies.
  • Perform VTC system administration, scheduling, and configuration.
  • Provide external information system client support.
  • Perform account creation, modification, and deletion across multiple authorization boundaries.
  • Perform Help Desk and troubleshooting activities.
  • Perform hardware and software configuration, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Perform system and network appliance patching.
  • Provide government-issued laptop support.
  • Assist with media control and accountability.
  • Perform COMSEC account and equipment management activities.
