The primary function is to provide “day-to-day” support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities. Performance shall include establishing complex operational software configuration controls and system interfaces for computer system(s) assigned, maintaining file servers, Firewalls, network access, Security Monitoring Systems and system documentation as required. The role involves analyzing and troubleshooting system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance, preparing systems for operational use and supporting operational tests. Responsibilities also include reviewing, preparing, and updating authorization packages, notifying customers of changes that might affect authorization accreditation, and conducting the cybersecurity portion of self-inspections. The specialist will review and provide technical and cyber security coordination on all Bodies of Evidence that makeup the authorization package, identify vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures, and ensure information systems and network appliances are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and practices. Additional duties include performing Video-Teleconferencing (VTC) System Administration, Scheduling, & Configuration, providing External Information System(s) Client Support, performing account creations, changes, & deletions on multiple authorization boundaries, and performing Help Desk & troubleshooting activities. The role also encompasses Hardware/Software System Configuration, upgrades and modifications, system and network appliance patching activities, providing Government-Issued Laptop Support, assisting in Media Control & Accountability activities, and performing COMSEC account/equipment management activities.
