About The Position

ServiceLink, a top provider in the mortgage services industry, is seeking a talented, ambitious, and self-directed Information Technology professional to track and manage the company's technology assets. This role involves close collaboration with business and IT teams to ensure enterprise-wide hardware and software is managed effectively. The Information Technology Asset Manager will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of IT hardware and software assets, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, refresh, disposal, and compliance with licensing agreements. This position also involves developing and enforcing IT asset management policies, supporting financial management and reporting, leading procurement activities, and ensuring data accuracy through the use of IT asset management tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, IT, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–7+ years of experience in IT Asset Management, including both hardware and software
  • Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management and software licensing models
  • Experience working with ITAM/SAM tools and service management platforms
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and vendor coordination abilities
  • Exceptional problem solving skills, listening skills and have a strong attention to detail
  • Diligence in processes and procedural attention

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of IT hardware assets, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, refresh, and disposal.
  • Track hardware assets such as laptops, desktops, servers, mobile devices, networking equipment, and peripherals.
  • Maintain accurate asset records (serial numbers, ownership, location, warranty, lifecycle status).
  • Coordinate hardware inventory audits and reconciliation activities.
  • Ensure secure and compliant hardware disposal and data destruction.
  • Define and enforce hardware standards and refresh cycles.
  • Partner with IT operations to support device onboarding, moves, adds, changes, and decommissioning.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of software assets, including license acquisition, deployment, usage tracking, renewal, and retirement.
  • Ensure compliance with vendor licensing agreements and contracts.
  • Monitor software usage and entitlement to reduce shelfware and overspending.
  • Lead internal and external software license audits and remediation efforts.
  • Track SaaS, on‑premises, and cloud software subscriptions.
  • Collaborate with procurement and legal teams on licensing models and contract negotiations.
  • Optimize software spend through consolidation and usage analysis.
  • Develop and enforce IT asset management policies, processes, and controls.
  • Ensure alignment with ITIL, ISO 19770, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance reporting.
  • Maintain accurate asset data to support cybersecurity, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Partner with Finance on budget planning, forecasting, chargeback/showback, depreciation, and cost allocation.
  • Track asset costs, renewals, warranties, and maintenance agreements.
  • Produce dashboards and reports on asset inventory, compliance status, spend, savings, and lifecycle health.
  • Continuously improve data accuracy, automation, and integration with CMDB and service management platforms.
  • Understand and utilize IT asset management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, AssetCloud, Snow, SCCM, Intune, JAMF, asset inventories).
  • Produce regular reports and dashboards on asset inventory, compliance, lifecycle status, and financial impact.
  • Continuously improve data quality, automation, and integration with CMDB and service management systems.
  • Lead or coordinate IT hardware and software procurement activities, from request intake through purchase order and fulfillment.
  • Partner with corporate procurement to ensure IT purchases comply with sourcing policies and approval workflows.
  • Develop and maintain preferred vendor lists, pricing agreements, and standardized SKUs.
  • Support contract negotiations for hardware purchases, software licenses, SaaS subscriptions, and maintenance agreements.
  • Track vendor performance, SLAs, renewal dates, and contract obligations.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, consolidation, and strategic sourcing.
  • Ensure procurement decisions align with asset standards, security requirements, and lifecycle strategies.
  • Effectively collaborate with the business, company and technology team members to track and manage the technology assets of the company.
