Information Technology Analyst
About The Position
Under general supervision, performs professional and high-level technical support of the parish-wide network infrastructure with multi-user Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) communications technology; and the supervision of technical staff engaged in completing work order requests for troubleshooting, repair, upgrades, and maintenance of office computers, networking equipment, and related software applications. Analyzes data processing requirements to plan data processing system that will provide system capabilities required for projected workloads, and plans layout and installation of new system or modification of existing system. This position is an essential, emergency duty status worker and may not be relieved of duty when the Parish President or his designee recommends a voluntary or mandatory evacuation of Plaquemines Parish.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must possess a valid Louisiana driver’s license.
- Satisfactory physical condition, including back, vision and hearing.
- Must be honest and exhibit good moral/ethical behavior.
- All resume’s submitted must include MONTH AND YEAR of work history and dates of education in order to be considered.
Nice To Haves
- Vocational/Technical or Microsoft certifications in computer technology, computer networking, or related field supplemented by five (5) or more years responsible experience in computer technology ore related field as well as verifiable supervisory experience in one or more of these fields; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
