About The Position

The Information Systems Specialist will assist with analysis, reporting, and system support related to grants administration, including the use of Streamlyne for complex reporting needs. The role will also provide subject matter expertise and input into Workday FIN design sessions, helping ensure that grants-related processes, data, and reporting needs are accurately represented during system design discussions. This is a casual, part-time role eligible for casual benefits.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in WHOI legacy grants management and related systems.
  • Experience using Streamlyne for complex grants administration reporting.
  • Strong understanding of grants administration data, workflows, and reporting requirements.
  • Ability to analyze system and business process needs and translate them into practical recommendations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Availability to work on a casual, part-time basis, up to approximately 10 to 15 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Provide periodic support for critical grants administration reporting and data analysis.
  • Develop, review, and troubleshoot complex reports using Streamlyne and other WHOI systems.
  • Apply expertise in WHOI’s legacy grants management systems to support analysis, process design, and reporting needs.
  • Participate in Workday FIN design sessions as needed, offering grants administration and systems expertise.
  • Help identify grants-related data, workflow, and reporting considerations that should be accounted for in future-state system design.
  • Partner with Grants and Contracts Services and other stakeholders to support accurate, timely, and effective reporting.
