Requirements

  • An active NSA TS/SCI Polygraph.
  • 8 years of ISSO experience supporting programs of similar scope and complexity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
  • Four additional years of ISSO experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Experience in at least two of the following: – Security tools and implementation – Communication protocols – Encryption technologies

Responsibilities

  • Support senior ISSOs in implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Assist in evaluating security solutions and ensuring compliance for systems processing classified information.
  • Support configuration management for system security software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Maintain and update security documentation, including C&A packages, system security plans, and audit materials.
  • Track and document system components such as servers, routers, firewalls, workstations, and network devices.
  • Maintain and monitor system security posture to meet evolving mission requirements.
  • Provide direct support to the ISSM for maintaining the operational IA posture of assigned systems.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance IA documentation in alignment with ODNI and DoD policies.
  • Administer user identification and authentication controls.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing IT security programs and policies.
  • Manage system changes and assess associated security impacts.
  • Serve as the Approval Authority for information systems under your responsibility.
  • Identify, report, and help resolve system vulnerabilities to ensure continued mission readiness.
