About The Position

As an information security risk specialist on our team, you’ll advise for the DoD, leading the discovery of their cyber risks, understanding applicable policies, and developing a mitigation plan. You’ll oversee the analysis of technical and personnel details from operations and engineers as your team reviews the entire threat landscape. Then, you’ll guide your team through a plan of action with task breakdown, presentations, policy, and milestones. Your client will rely on you to translate security concepts to your team members so they can make the best decisions to secure their simulation training network. This is your opportunity to take a leadership role in information security while sharing your skills in network defense, incident management, and threat analysis with both your clients and your team.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as an ISSO or Information System Security Analyst (ISSA)
  • Experience managing authorization packages using the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
  • Experience using AWS tools such as Inspector, Guard Duty, Security Hub CPSM and Config to enforce authorization requirements, identify deviations, and translate reporting data into supporting eMASS artifacts
  • Experience conducting software and configuration assessments using industry best practices, vendor specifications, and government security guidelines and requirements
  • Experience implementing controls from NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, ICD 503, and the RMF across multiple Impact Levels, including applying them to the design and implementation of information technology solutions to achieve an Authorization to Operate (ATO)
  • Ability to work within a collaborative team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • DoD 8140.03 DCWF Certification such as Security+ CE, CISM, CGRC, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DoD security technical implementation guides (STIGs), checklists, and testing tools, including STIG Viewer, SCAP or Ansible, and the ACAS scanning tool
  • Experience assessing configuration changes such as new COTS tools or web application upgrades, to an approved system security boundary
  • Experience with relevant continuous monitoring tools such as Splunk or Elastic, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK)
  • Experience with SAP
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and concepts
  • Possession of excellent written, organizational, presentation, and verbal communication skills
  • AWS, Azure, or GCP Certification
