About The Position

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer with 7 – 10 year s of experience and a to support The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC) -Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (NCMC-ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract III Mission. As an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following: Ensure comprehensive cybersecurity oversight by implementing and enforcing controls, monitoring for vulnerabilities and incidents, and maintaining all required security documentation and reports for assigned information systems. Oversee POA&M tracking, lead preparation of system security plans and assessment reports, coordinate compliance activities with stakeholders, and support continuity of Authorizations to Operate. Maintain up-to-date logs, respond to vulnerabilities and incidents, and deliver timely resolution and reporting of all cybersecurity findings. These positions are being posted in anticipation of future employment opportunities, which may become available beginning around June 2026. Actual hiring and start dates will depend on contract award, organizational needs and other factors. Candidates may be considered for these or similar positions as opportunities arise.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelors in IT, Cyber, CS, IS, Data Science, or SW Engineering OR equivalent DoD/Military training
  • Clearance: Top Secret / SCI
  • Certifications: CISM, CISSO, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, FITSP-D, GCIA, GCLD, GCSA, GDSA, and/or GICSP certification
  • Experience: 7-10 Years
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity oversight and implementation of security controls and documentation is crucial
  • Skills in monitoring vulnerabilities and incidents, maintaining security documentation, and producing system security plans ensure consistent security compliance
  • Capabilities in coordinating compliance activities with pertinent stakeholders and supporting Authorizations to Operate are required
  • Experience in timely response and resolution to cybersecurity incidents underlines a proactive approach to security management
  • Experience leveraging tools such as eMASS, XACTA, CORE, ACAS, SCAP tools, Nessus, Checkmarx, and/or ZAP DAST
  • Holds DoD 8140 qualifying certification
