Requirements

  • An active TS/SCI w/ CI POLY.
  • A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in information systems security, cybersecurity operations, or related security roles.
  • Strong knowledge of federal regulations such as NIST 800-181 and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments and support vulnerability management activities.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience implementing, operating, and monitoring security controls for information systems in accordance with federal or DoD/IC standards.
  • Familiarity with tools and technologies for cybersecurity management (e.g., vulnerability scanners, SIEMs, endpoint security tools, configuration management tools).
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with system owners, administrators, and other stakeholders to support compliance and remediation actions.
  • Knowledge of strategies and techniques to protect system integrity, confidentiality, and availability, and to support continuous monitoring efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Support the cybersecurity of information systems, helping to ensure compliance with federal regulations (e.g., NIST 800-181).
  • Implement, operate, and monitor security controls to protect system integrity, confidentiality, and availability.
  • Conduct and document risk assessments to identify and help mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
  • Track, analyze, and report vulnerabilities; support remediation activities to ensure adherence to federal regulations and organizational policies.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining security documentation (e.g., SSPs, POA&Ms, risk assessments) in coordination with the ISSM and other stakeholders.
