Information Systems Security Officer - ISSO
About The Position
This role is for an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in the Raleigh, NC division of ARA. The position involves designing, improving, and managing projects through the RMF process. The ISSO will guide systems or applications through the RMF process, understand NIST Special Publications and their application to systems, and implement requirements by informing policy or system engineers during system/application development. The daily tasks include reviewing policy, categorizing systems and applications, and performing remediation activities for projects in continuous monitoring. The role supports projects in various environments, including Amazon Web Services, Azure, and on-premise.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Current TS/SCI security clearance
- CompTIA Security certification required
- BS or higher in computer science, IT, engineering, applied mathematics, or a closely related field
- 5+ years relevant work experience with BS
- 3+ years relevant work experience with MS
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Relocation to Raleigh NC
- Willing to work onsite
Nice To Haves
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Experience with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
- Experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- Experience with tools such as Xacta and eMASS.
