About The Position

As an Information Systems Security Engineer on our team, you’ll advise for the Department of Defense (DoD), leading the discovery of their cyber risks, understanding applicable policies, and developing and implementing a mitigation plan. Your team will oversee the analysis of technical and personnel details from operations and engineers as your team reviews the entire threat landscape. Your team will then guide you through a plan of action with task breakdown. Your lead will rely on you to translate security concepts to your team members so they can make the best decisions to secure their simulation training network. Requirements

  • Experience with SIEM and Splunk
  • Experience monitoring operating systems security events such as Windows or Linux, and networking protocols such as TCP, IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, or HTTPS
  • Experience with IA security policy, including ATOs and ATCs, and cybersecurity tools and technologies such as IDS, IPS, firewalls, host-based security, or Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • Experience with manual and automated vulnerability assessments for vulnerability management tools such as Nessus Vulnerability Scanner
  • Experience developing test plans and procedures to address the level of effort for the IT system being accredited and developing technical system requirements
  • Experience with the installation, configuration, and administration of IT resources, including Windows, Linux, VMware, and containerization products
  • Knowledge of SCAP, STIG, and hardening implementation
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
